Who is the event for?
Infinite Horizons is an exciting new event for members of The Senior Section* and Guides** who will be aged 13+ at the date of the event.
You will be able to take part in some of the adventurous activities offered at Xscape along with skill and information sessions which together will deliver new experiences and help enhance personal development and life skills for Senior Section members and older Guides who are interested in transitioning to The Senior Section.
Some of the activities available (limited places on each so book early) are
- Skate Park
- Adventure Golf
Some of the workshops we are planning are
- Cooking on a budget – learn how to cook simple, healthy meals on a budget
- Self defence – a fun, useful introduction to self-defence skills
- CV enhancement – get some top tips on writing your CV and how to include your guiding experiences to wow potential employers
- Money magic – learn how to best manage your money
*Senior Section girls can attend without Leaders.
** Guides who are aged 13+ at the date of the event can attend as a unit group but must be accompanied by their leaders and Girlguiding ratios must be observed. Unit groups must attend the same activity/workshops as a whole and cannot be split. There are two different ticket options for leaders, an ‘activity’ ticket and a ‘ratio’ ticket – details of each and prices are in the online booking form below.
How to apply
Book online using the form below. By booking onto this event you agree to the Infinite Horizons Booking terms and conditions.
Bookings close on 5 March 2018.
Before making a booking, if you are a student at an educational establishment, please ensure that the date falls within your Easter holidays. We are aware that the Easter Holidays vary from one Education Authority to another this year and we have opted for a day which falls within the holidays for the majority but regrettably not all.
Places on each activity are limited and activities will be on a first come first served basis so book quickly for a better chance of getting your favourite activity.
We need Senior Section girls to make individual bookings rather than Senior Section units making a group booking as after making a booking each individual Senior Section participant will shortly thereafter be sent an online questionnaire so that they can express a preference as to which activities they wish to take part in.
We would like Guide leaders to make a group booking for their unit, to include both girls and leaders. Shortly after booking the person who made the group booking will be sent an online questionnaire to express a preference on activities.
You can pay by card, bank transfer or cheque, just select the option at check out.
