Want to dust off your map and compass skills and meet new people who share your passion for walking? Map and Compass skills training is for anyone wanting to learn to read a map and use a compass or for those who would like to improve the skills they already have. This training would be ideal for those working towards a walking qualification or those who hold a walking qualification and would like a refresher. This will be a full day training outdoors putting into practice skills to give you confidence.

You will need a map of the area (to be confirmed nearer the time) and compass (e.g. Silva Expedition 4 Compass would be ideal, otherwise it must have 360o on the dial) You will also need walking boots and waterproofs as this will be an outdoor training. Don’t forget your Cotswolds GGUK 20% discount when buying outdoor equipment.
