Are you aged 14 – 26 looking for a new challenge? Do you care about issues which affect girls today? Do you want to learn new games and develop new skills?
Girlguiding North East England is running a Peer Education Basic Training. Come and join the fun! This training is free but we ask for a deposit of £10 which if you attend we will return to you or you can use it to buy one of the Peer Education t-shirts.
What are Peer Educators?
This is the basic training towards becoming a fully trained Peer Educator. This means you will (if you want) be able to go into local Brownie, Guide and Senior Section units to run sessions on issues affecting girls and young women in the UK.
What else can Peer Educators do?
You will also find out about other topics that Peer Educators can deliver including the new Breaking Free topic. There is to be a training on the Breaking Free topic in June, if you are interested in attending this training click here.
What can I expect at the day?
Although it is called ‘training’, the day is a fun mixture of activities and games as well as giving you the skills and knowledge needed to run sessions on your own. You will enjoy getting to know other members of The Senior Section from across the Region and get to know some experienced Peer Educators.
