Rainbow Rally at Flamingo Fling
September 16 - September 17
|What?||Rainbow Rally – A very special invitation to all Rainbow units|
|When?||16–17 September 2017|
|Where?||Flamingo Land, Kirby Misperton off the Malton to Pickering road.|
|Who for?||Rainbows and their Leaders|
|How much?||£50 for Rainbows and £40 for Leaders|
To celebrate the 30th birthday of Rainbows we would like to invite 30 Rainbows and their Leaders to join Brownies, Guides and Members of the Senior Section from across the Region at the overnight camp element of Flamingo Fling at Flamingo Land. We are offering six units the chance to bring five Rainbows and two Leaders to camp overnight (the maximum number of Rainbows who can attend a Girlguiding large scale event).
You will have your own very special Rainbow camping area where your tents will be ready and waiting for you when you arrive, which will make everything very easy and stress free for you and your Rainbows.
The cost of this unique sleepover option will be £50 per Rainbow, this includes Saturday buffet tea, evening entertainment, Sunday breakfast, an event badge and some extra very special elements to make the event very memorable for the Rainbows (all very top secret!). The cost per Leader is £40, which includes all the above. We will not be asking for any money until we have confirmed places.
We will select units by a random draw which will take place on Friday 31 March 2017.
If you are interested in being considered for this special event, please email email@example.com with the name of your Rainbow unit.
We will let you know as soon as possible after this date if you have been successful so you can still apply for day tickets for your unit if you are unsuccessful.
We appreciate five girls per unit is not many, but if successful you could perhaps offer the opportunity to your older Rainbows and you could still invite other members of your unit to come to Flamingo Fling for the day with other unit Leaders/helpers.
When deciding whether to be entered into the draw, we recommend that you check the Guiding manual and be aware that Rainbow overnight events must not exceed 24 hours, including travel, from when care of the girls is transferred to the Leader. To make this practical for you – perhaps you could ask parents to bring and collect girls from the event.
Did you decide not to enter the draw for this event? Please take 30 seconds to tell us why by completing this survey!
