BP Titanic Adventure
BP Titanic adventure held at Lorne in Belfast was enjoyed by everyone who attended. The weather was mixed but didn’t spoil any of the activities. It was a lovely sunny day on Saturday which was balanced by rain from about 2am on the Sunday morning. At least they didn’t have to take down the tents, because they stayed in ones already erected at Lorne
For one girl it was very much a first experience of many things -her first time flying, camping and first time in a sleeping bag! She survived and was still smiling at the end of it.
On the Saturday the girls visited the Folk Museum – Kate said ”it was interesting and fun”. This was followed by activities on site in the evening.
The next day saw the girls visiting the Titanic museum. Then the girls challenged themselves on the high ropes course.
Sophie from 4th Chester-Le-Street Guides shares her BP Journey:
I have enjoyed my BP experience because it has given me the opportunity to meet new people and to face new challenges from completing badges to the BP Adventure. At different stages, I have had to persevere myself and encourage other people and help them accomplish clauses. I feel I have developed my independence considerably. Overall I am really glad I participated in the highest achievement a Guide can get.
