Infinite Horizons

Infinite Horizons came about after consulting with Senior Section members asking them what sort of an event they would like.
They said they wanted something that would develop their life skills along with something fun and exciting. It should be just for a day and they didn’t want it to be on a weekend.
A task and finish group came together and came up with Infinite Horizons.

The day was held at Xscape, Castleford and over 100 girls attended.
In the morning they could choose two sessions from, self-defence showing girls how to defend themselves if required; cooking on a budget showed the girls easy quick and cheap dishes that they could use if they go off to University; CV writing gave the girls a chance to find out what Universities and employers are looking for in a CV and money magic showed them how to budget their money.

Ruby and Emily from Pudsey Guides really enjoyed the cooking, whilst Francesca and Georgia form 1st Sowerby Bridge Guides thought the self-defence was fun and very helpful.
After lunch the girls then went off to enjoy activities such as sledging, golf, bowling, trampolining and the cinema.

Sonja and Ella from North Wolds West Rangers said they had really enjoyed the day it was very informative and fun event.
