Region Walking Group Progress Report
Two walks have now taken place in December and January and they attracted 11 and 9 participants respectively. They first visited Captain Cook’s Memorial and Roseberry Topping and strong winds made the ascent of the latter interesting. In the New Year the group visited Reeth and traversed Fremington Edge in light rain and low cloud, but we still found the geocache.
February’s walk starts from Castleton in the Peak District, and we visit the northern part of the region in March for a walk near Wooler. Both these walks are Level 2. You can find further details of these walks on the Regional website by clicking on the links above.
If you think we are ignoring your favourite area please get in touch and suggest a route. You lead the walk but we provide a suitably qualified leader.
