Peer educators are members of The Senior Section who deliver educational sessions to their peers. Topics can include such things as eating disorders, binge drinking, the media and much more. A Senior Section member can be a peer educator without being a Ranger, young leader or leader.
To become a peer educator you must attend a basic training. This is a two day training which covers two of the basic topics. Once this is completed there are several further training opportunities you can take advantage of.
All peer educators are supported at county level by a 4 Coordinator who works within the county team. 4 Coordinators in turn are supported by their country/region Senior Section team. To find out more about Peer Education, go to the Senior Section website.
