• Date and Time: Sunday 15^th February: meet 9.45 for 10.00am start
• Meeting Point: Upper Burbage Bridge Car Park, S32 1BR. Grid Reference: SK   Explorer OL1 The Dark Peak.  Longitude & Latitude: 53.343372, -1.610285. Using the longitude and latitude in your sat nav will direct you more accurately. Car parking is £6.60 for the day in the carpark to the west of the bridge, payable by coins or the Ringo App.  Phone signal is patchy so you can pay on the app up to 24 hours after your visit. There is free parking in laybys to the east of the bridge, on the approach from Sheffield.  Sorry, there are no toilets at this carpark, the nearest toilets are: Hollin Bank. SK 237836
• Approximate length of walk/difficulty level: 14km (8.7 miles), 300m ascent, Level 2
• Details: We follow the path above Burbage Rocks before crossing the moor to Houndkirk Road and then following the west side of Lady Canning’s Plantation. After crossing farmland we cross open moorland with a view of Redmires Reservoir and then ascend to Stanage Pole. Continuing from Stanage Pole we join Stanage Edge and follow the edge before descending to Upper Burbage Bridge.  The route can be muddy in places at this time of year so please be prepared!
