Region Manager

Davina Scholefield

As the Region Manager it is my responsibility to support the implementation of Girlguiding North East England’s region strategy.  My role covers all aspects of managing the region office, including managing the office team, as well as supporting the Chief’s team and other lead volunteers.

My experience of Girlguiding started as a Brownie and Guide.  I returned as a volunteer to take on a Brownie unit that was threatened with closure and am now an Assistant Guide Leader and looking to start a Ranger unit.  When I’m not working or volunteering for guiding, I enjoy sewing and baking.  I also love to be outside; I’m an experienced gardener and have recently taken on an allotment.

Deputy Manager

Sally Jackson

I have been part of the region office team since 2000. As the finance officer I deal with all the office payments, invoicing, banking and maintaining the region’s financial records. I also oversee the shop orders, Duke of Edinburgh’s award registrations and any grants or bursaries. Since October 2019 I have also taken on the role of Team Leader to support the staff team and the Region Manager.

I have been active in Guiding since joining Guides on my 10th birthday and I currently hold several voluntary roles in the organisation ranging from Guide and Brownie leader to county adviser, treasurer and depot manager. Outside of work and Guiding I enjoy knitting, music, jigsaws and reading.

Events Administrator

Sharron LIttle

I joined the region team in November 2016 as an administration assistant and in July 2017 I became the events administrator. I am the link in the region office between the lead volunteers organising events and the participants who are taking part as well as dealing with the administration aspect of all region events.

Originally from Scarborough, I have been a Brownie and Guide and am now an adult volunteer as a  Brownie and Guide leader.  I enjoy reading, baking and spending time with my family including my six cats!

Marketing and Communications Officer

Helen Campbell

In my role as M&C officer, I’m here to support marketing volunteers in promoting the region and our events. This involves sharing what units across the region have been up to on our social media channels, representing the region at community events and distributing information to our members via regular newsletters.

I am a Ranger leader and a great advocate for the young women in our organisation. I have held a variety of County roles over the years including Division Commissioner and County PRA, I joined Girlguiding as a staff member following 6 years working for a national children’s charity.

Membership Support Administrator

Becca Simpson

I joined the NEE Team in March 2022 as Membership Support Administrator. My role involves dealing with lots of reports, spreadsheets, and data, which suits me perfectly!

I have been involved in Guiding since I joined Guides aged 12 and I now volunteer at the Guides and Rangers units I was part of when I was younger. In my spare time, I enjoy baking and photography.

County Administrator

Elizabeth Greenaway

I joined the North East England team in April 2019 in a new role as County Administrator for two counties, East Yorkshire and North Yorkshire South. I work part-time and my usual pattern is full days Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

I have over 21 years work experience within the private, public and voluntary sectors which should be useful for helping the counties with a wide variety of tasks. I’m originally from London and was a Brownie and Guide. In my spare time I am a keen gardener and love walking my dog and practising yoga.

County Administrator

Ali Hampshire

I joined the North East England region team in March 2022 where I am now County Administrator for two counties, South Yorkshire and North Yorkshire West. I work part-time in the region office and my usual pattern is full days Tuesday and Wednesday. On other days I’m also County Administrator for North Yorkshire North East which is my home Guiding county where I volunteer with both Brownies and Guides.

I joined my local Guide unit in Norfolk aged 10 and as I’ve said on many occasions never really left!. Over the years I have been a District and a Division Commissioner as well as being a Brownie and a Guide leader. In my spare time I love gardening and music.
