The Laurel award is awarded to those who have made a significant difference to guiding and has held a variety of roles within their District/Division/County demonstrating excellent leadership skills and is highly regarded by their guiding peers.

Only a small number of Silver Fish awards are granted. The nominee must have demonstrated an exceptionally high standard of service to Girlguiding with ample experience in a variety of roles in their District/Division/County. They will have made a considerable impact on girls and adults, both locally and internationally. They will work to inspire girls and motivate volunteers and their work should demonstrate a major contribution to guiding in other countries.
The Guiding Star acknowledges remarkable bravery and determination in challenging situations. If you think you know someone who has made an important contribution to guiding or their community during hardship or has shown immense bravery during a difficult time in their life, consider nominating them for the Guiding Star award.
