Name of Walk: Malham Tarn – Attermire
- Date and Time: Saturday April 18th meet 9.45 for 10.00am start
- Meeting Point: Malham Tarn car park, GR SD 894 658, Postcode BD249PU ( Postcode for field study centre ) Explorer Map No OL2 Yorkshire Dales, Southern and Western Areas. Nearest toilets Malham village.
- Approximate length of walk/difficulty level: 15km, 350m ascent
- Details: South West on bridleway to Langscar Gate then Dales Highway past site of Nappa Cross to Stockdale Farm and continue West to footpath at Attermire Scar, where we walk North past Victoria and Jubilee caves, then East on Pennine Bridleway to just after Gorbeck where take bridleway to cross roads, then can either walk along road past Low Trenhouse straight back to carpark or take road and tracks round Malham Tarn. Walk mostly on good moorland tracks with a bit of quiet road.
