Are you aged 14-25** and looking for a new challenge? Do you want to deliver fun & interactive sessions for Brownies, Guides & Rangers on issues important to them?

Join us at our next peer education residential training weekend from early evening on Friday 20 – mid afternoon on Sunday 22 November 2026 at Wynches, Burley in Wharfedale, West Yorkshire.  You’ll be trained with skills in order to facilitate sessions and to deliver the peer education topic ‘Breaking Free’. By the end of the weekend you’ll be a Peer Educator with the skills and confidence to run sessions for units in your area!

By registering for the weekend you agree to complete both days of training. You will also need to complete a short online training before the event – full details will be circulated to all registered participants.

Once you have completed this weekend training you can increase your repertoire on other topics if you wish.

**Please note that a member must hold the role of a Ranger, Young Leader or an adult leadership role to take part in this training.  14 year old Guides unfortunately cannot take part.

Already a trained Peer Educator?

We will be offering a very limited number of places on the Sunday only for those who have previously completed the basic Peer Education training but who wish to complete the training on the ‘Breaking Free’ topic. To register for just the Sunday please visit the region website.

Our Peer Ed trainings are initially for members from the Girlguiding North East England region. We may consider opening to out of region participants depending on bookings – if you are interested in being considered for this please email info@girlguidingnortheast.org.uk and we will put you on an expressions of interest list.

How to apply?

Please complete the ‘bookings’ section below. All bookings are subject to the Booking Terms and Conditions shown below.

Ticket sales will close at 11.30 pm on 17 October 2026.

Payments can be made via Paypal account, card or BACS. If you wish to pay by card make sure you click on the ‘Paypal’ button.  You will then get the option of paying from a  Paypal account or by debit/credit card which does not require you to have a Paypal account, they just manage our card payments for us.  If you wish to pay by BACS click on the dropdown arrow next to ‘Pay by paypal’ and it will give you the BACS option.  If paying by BACS please quote the ref ‘PeerEd26’ BACS payments must be received within 48 working hours of booking or we reserve the right to cancel your booking.

Booking Terms and Conditions

By booking this ticket you are agreeing to the Girlguiding North East England booking terms and conditions as follows.

Cancellation by Participant – Cancellation must be made via email or in writing to the Girlguiding North East England office. No refunds are payable on cancellation by the Participant unless the place can be filled.

Cancellation by Girlguiding North East England – Girlguiding North East England reserves the right to modify or cancel the event if unforeseen circumstances arise. In the event of cancellation being made by Girlguiding North East England a full refund of the event fee paid to Girlguiding North East England will be made to participants.
