North Tyneside
North Tyneside County spans from the Newcastle border along the river Tyne and along the coast and inland to Northumberland. We have a strong industrial background with shipbuilding and coalmining and are home to Segendunum Roman Fort which marks the end of the Roman Wall, Tynemouth Priory, St Mary’s Lighthouse and George Stephensons Rocket to name but a few. We currently have around 400 adult volunteers and just under 2000 girls and young women enjoying fun and friendship and sharing our adventures
Accommodation:
Cheviot View is the old village school and grounds in the hamlet of Kirknewton just north of Wooler, Northumberland. The lodge provides indoor accommodation and the school field is now a fully serviced campsite. It is available for hire to guiding and non guiding groups and provides a great base to explore Northumberland.
