What, when, where, who for, how much?
What? A virtual training for those wanting to take their girls out on a unit walk who are volunteers with Girlguiding North East England
When? Monday 28 April 2025 – 7-9 pm
Where? Online – we will be using a Zoom platform for this session
Who for? All adult volunteers and members aged 16+ within the Girlguiding North East England region who would like to lead groups on walks, whether local or further afield.
How much? This training will be free of charge

A stand alone session for all those wanting to take the girls in their unit out on a walk, whether locally on paths close to your meeting place or a little further afield in the countryside. From Rainbows to Rangers and all those in between, there are lots of options for all sections! This session will help you to get started on how to plan it and ensure everyone (including you!) has a great time.
How to apply:
We aren’t charging for this event, but we do still need you to book a ticket as places are limited.
Bookings will close on Sunday 20 April 2025 at 11.30 pm.
Initially we are restricting bookings to members from the North East England region. However, if you guide outside the region and are interested in a place should one become available, please email sharron.little@girlguidingnortheast.org.uk and we can place you on a reserve list.
We are anticipating a high demand for this session, so please do not book unless you are certain you will be able to attend. If you book and an emergency arises meaning you cannot attend please email the region office so that we can offer your place to someone else. Please also let us know if you try to book but find there are no tickets left, so we can add you to a waiting list in case of cancellations. We reserve the right to charge for bookings cancelled at short notice, without good reason, or where trainees don’t attend on the day.

Cancellation by Participant – Cancellation must be made via email or in writing to the Girlguiding North East England office.
Cancellation by Girlguiding North East England – Girlguiding North East England reserves the right to modify or cancel the event if unforeseen circumstances arise.
