Further Information: This is the first of the three expedition events for those hoping to complete the DofE Expedition section in summer 2025. Training will be tailored to the Bronze, Silver and Gold Levels of the award and will include navigation skills, route planning, map reading, first aid, food and cooking at each level. You will need to come equipped for a day walk on the Saturday, a full kit list will be issued prior to the weekend. This is also an opportunity to meet others who may form part of your expedition team in the summer. You will need to organise your own transport to and from the venue.

Practice Expeditions will take place on:
- 12-13 July Bronze level
- 11 (evening) – 13 July Silver level
- 12–13 July PLUS either Friday 11 or Monday 14 July (to be decided) Gold level
Qualifying Expeditions will take place on:
- 30-31 August Bronze level
- 29-31 August Silver level
- 28-31 August Gold level

You must fully complete the training weekend, practice expedition and qualifying expedition to be able to complete the expedition section at your level.

Ticket sales will close on 19 January 2025 at 11.30 pm. If ticket sales have closed and you are interested in taking part in this event please email info@girlguidingnortheast.org.uk and we will make enquiries of the venue as to whether they have any more accommodation available.

Payments can be made via Paypal, card or BACS. If you wish to pay from a Paypal account or by card make sure you click on the ‘Paypal’ button – Paypal administer our card bookings for us. If you wish to pay by BACS click on the dropdown arrow next to ‘Pay by paypal’ and it will give you the BACS option. If paying by BACS please quote the reference ‘DofETrWE’. BACS payments must be received within 48 working hours of booking or we reserve the right to cancel your booking.

By booking this ticket you are agreeing to the Girlguiding North East England booking terms and conditions as follows.
Cancellation by Participant – Cancellation must be made via email or in writing to the Girlguiding North East England office. No refunds are payable on cancellation.
Cancellation by Girlguiding North East England – Girlguiding North East England reserves the right to modify or cancel the event if unforeseen circumstances arise. In the event of cancellation being made by Girlguiding North East England a full refund of the event fee paid to Girlguiding North East England will be made to participants.
