What? International Community Experience (ICE) with Girlguiding North East England

When? Summer 2025

Who for? Guides aged 11-13 during August 2025

To meet the criteria of the ICE, the Guide will need to be aged 11 by 1 August 2025 and 13 or under by 31 August 2025.

The North East England International Team are pleased to announce that they will be running ICE again in 2025. The destination of the trip is to be confirmed.

How to enter the ballot?

Places for ICE are limited so we will be using a ballot system to decide who gets a place. This year the ballot is to offer Guides a chance to join our International Selection Weekend for a fun packed adventure at Bradley Wood Activity Centre in Brighouse from 20-22 September 2024. Please note, although entry to the ballot is free of charge, there will be a cost payable (£60) for those successful in getting a place at the selection weekend.

From those attending this weekend, some of the Guides will then be offered a place on the final ICE trip.

Register by ‘booking’ below before 17 May 2024 to be entered into the ballot and please only book one place per young member.  

Please note: The region International Team will randomly select girls from each Girlguiding county to attend the weekend away in September. By entering the ballot you are not guaranteed a place at the weekend or on the final ICE trip. We will not be using a raffle system.

If you have attended an ICE trip before, you will not be entered into the ballot.
