- Name of Walk: Stanhope Burns and Beyond
- Date and time: Saturday 28th March 2026: meet at 9.45am for 10.00am start.
- Meeting Point: GR NY995393, Dales Centre Car Park (at the back). Free Car park. Post code DL13 2FJ.
- Map: OS Explorer 307 Consett & Derwent Reservoir (Stanhope)
- Approximate length of walk/difficulty level: 13.km. 324m ascent, level 2
- Details: From the car park we will walk through the town and then take the footpath to Shittlehope burn. We then turn W across fields to the road and up to Crawley Edge. We cross the B6278 and go North to Heathery Burn. Here we turn West and then North to reach High House where we follow the footpath South to near Park shops from where we take the footpath and track to Noah’s Ark. We head back towards Stanhope burn, using the footpath through the woods to Stanhope Hall, before turning E back to the car park
