Girlguiding North East England Inspire WhatsApp Community – Terms of Reference
The Girlguiding North East England Inspire WhatsApp Community exists to connect Inspire members aged 18–30 across the region, share relevant opportunities and updates, encourage peer support and networking, and provide a safe, inclusive space. It is a supplementary communication channel and does not replace official Girlguiding communications.
Membership
Open to Girlguiding members aged 18–30 based in North East England.
Members must leave the Community if they leave Girlguiding, move out of the region, or age out of Inspire.
Girlguiding North East England staff may conduct checks and remove members who no longer meet eligibility criteria.
Conduct and Policies
Members must follow all relevant Girlguiding policies, including the Code of Conduct, Digital Safeguarding Policy, Managing Information Policy, and Anti-Bullying and Harassment Policies.
All chats may be monitored by Inspire Region and County Coordinators. Admins may be appointed as needed and have discretion over membership and moderation.
Members must be respectful, inclusive, supportive. Keep discussions kind, relevant, and considerate of differing opinions.
Raising Concerns
Any behaviour not in line with Girlguiding policies should be reported to the Community admins.
Safeguarding concerns must be reported through official Girlguiding safeguarding procedures, not within the Community.

Members must not share others’ personal data without consent.
Phone numbers are visible within the Community; these must not be shared outside it.
1–1 conversations outside the Community are not monitored and fall outside the scope of these Terms of Reference.

The Community may include multiple sub-groups. Members may join or leave these freely and should post in the most relevant group.
Members may mute notifications at any time.
